These terms apply to Seekstar (seekstar.app), a web app for finding and developing ideas. By using Seekstar you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.
The service
You type a word, Seekstar lights up related ideas as stars, and the path you take is kept as a constellation. With an account you can explore deeper, discuss any star with an AI assistant (a “deep dive”), keep your skies in the cloud and share them. Seekstar Pro adds unlimited depth, our strongest AI model and “Write it up”, which turns a constellation into a draft.
Accounts
You can use Seekstar without an account, with limits. To sign in you use Google or a one-time link sent to your email. Keep access to your email or Google account secure; you're responsible for what happens under your account. You can delete your account at any time from the Account page.
Seekstar Pro, payments and billing
Pro is a subscription, billed monthly or yearly at the price shown on the pricing page when you subscribe. Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns, and their buyer terms apply to your purchase.
Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from Account → Manage subscription; you keep Pro until the end of the period you've paid for. Refunds are covered by our refund policy. We may change prices for future billing periods; we'll tell you before a change applies to you.
Fair use
Every plan, Pro included, has fair-use limits that keep Seekstar fast and affordable for everyone. They are described on the how it works page. Most people never reach them.
Acceptable use
- Don't use Seekstar to break the law or to harass, harm or deceive anyone.
- Don't try to get around limits, use automated scripts to call the service, or create accounts in bulk.
- Don't try to break, overload or reverse-engineer the service.
- Don't share skies that contain content you don't have the right to share.
We may suspend or close accounts that break these rules.
Your content and AI output
The words you type, your skies, deep dives and drafts are yours. You give us permission to store and process them only to run Seekstar for you — for example, to send them to our AI provider to generate stars and replies, and to show a sky you chose to share. AI output can be wrong, incomplete or unoriginal; check anything you rely on, and you're responsible for how you use it.
Availability and changes
We work to keep Seekstar running, but it is provided “as is”, without guarantees that it will always be available or error-free. We may change or improve features. If we ever shut Seekstar down, we'll give you notice and time to export your skies.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, Seekstar is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have as a consumer that can't be limited by law.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If a change is significant we'll let you know by email or in the app before it takes effect. Continuing to use Seekstar after that means you accept the new terms.
